Campfire at Wilderness Lodge

Nov 9, 2019

Campfire at Wilderness lodge Disney World. Each night at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, anyone and everyone is invited to roast marshmallows around an open fire. This activity is FREE of charge and Disney provides everything you need.

Beginning at 7:00 PM the Disney Fire Master stokes the flames and gets a pretty good size fire going. There are a few rules given by a cheerful cast member before sticks and marshmallows are dispersed.

1- No climbing on the rock wall surrounding the fire pit
2- No running near the fire
3 – Two feet must stay on the ground at all times
4- No more than 10 people around the fire at a time.

We were each handed about a 2 FT wooden stick and a marshmallow. We were assured marshmallows were in Unlimited supply. For those of you who want a little ‘S’MORE’ (see what we did there?). A s’more kit can be purchased or you can bring your own graham crackers and chocolate like we did!

If you’re not staying at Wilderness Lodge you will have to pay to park…or better yet take advantage of free Disney transportation. We parked at Disney Springs and took a bus directly to the lodge.

There is no set ending time that we could tell. We sat on the rock benches around the fire and enjoyed a beautiful fall evening. If you have the time, an outdoor theatre is set up right by the campfire. Cars was showing the night we were there. If you’re in need of more substantial food offerings Geyser Point Bar & Grill is also close by. We saw many families partaking of the down-home atmosphere.

Make sure to give this fun and free family activity a try!
